Making time to reflect upon students\u2019 passions, skill-sets and learning predilections allows teachers to design meaningful curricula and improve student outcomes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">These principles will guide our collegial work:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Meeting students where they\u2019re at and holding high expectations for all learners<\/li>\n<li>Differentiating instruction to put all students in the Zone of Proximal Development or \u201clearning zone\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Recognizing and honoring the many facets of teachers and their practice<\/li>\n<li>Positive\u00a0feedback<\/li>\n<li>Remaining current with research on teaching and learning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Being an effective classroom practitioner is about as hard as it gets\u2014each day, teachers make more decisions and witness more of the Stuff of Life than just about anyone.
